About Me

By day, I add color and materials to environments at Pixar as a Sets Shading Technical Director.

By night, I paint vibrant landscapes in my art studio based on my adventures in nature.

By weekend, I create art in and for my community in the form of murals, plein air, and live painting.

I've been an artist for as long as I can remember.

My earliest art-making dates back to when I could draw but not write; instead, my grandmother penned the stories to my imaginative illustrations.

My parents facilitated my earliest "business" transactions at 8 years old. I grew up to be something of a young hustler in the arts: competitions, fundraisers, clubs and magazines, theatrical stage painting, commercials, movies and more.

All the while, I had an unstable childhood littered with trauma, violence and addiction. Creativity and imagination showed me a powerful escape, and later on, a form of healing.

I am actively creating art that helps me understand my emotions, memories, and ancestry. I share poetry and other musings on the Substack below:
